A case of nasal polyp in 8 month-old infant

Abstract
|
|
|
The etiology of nasal polyp which may be allergic and/or inflammatory is unknown.
But neither allergy nor inflammation alone is resulted in nasal polyp because nasal polyp is not always noted in many allergic or inflammatory diseases.
It is said that nasal polyp is due to structural deficiency of connective tissue hereditarilly.
A solitary huge nasal polyp in the postnatal 8 month-old infant´s. rt, proper nasal cavity was experienced at Department of E.N.T. S.N.U.H., which might be congenital. This large polyp mass was removed radically under general anesthesia after admission.
